China's B2B Digital Marketing Evolution: Building a Community-Based Marketing Network


With the development of digital technology, we have observed the way numerous businesses are beginning to adopt very different marketing models from those seen in the past.

Although traditional marketing methods are still important in today's digital age, companies in China’s B2B field are focusing more on connections with individuals behind the business rather than the product/services itself to form a community-based marketing network. Similar to that of a Makeathon, or commonly known as Hackathon, Community-based Marketing brings together engineers, designers, developers, coders, and makers to discover, interact, and eventually work as a community to solve a common problem or bring new ideas to the table. For the construction of a community-based marketing network to take place, there are three key factors to consider. The first is establishing a wide range of connections among individual users behind the enterprise. Secondly, these individuals should have better interaction and communication with each other in order to activate the entire network. Thirdly, its own brand and values can be spread through the community to corporate customers, vertical industries and even across industries, creating an exponential impact.
